BOOK REVIEWS: Insatiable series by Ashton Blackthorne

This is the first I have read from this amazing author. I loved this series and definitely recommend reading it if you love alpha males and BDSM. Be aware there are a few situations that come about that may not be for all readers but it is all part of character development and getting to see into their pasts.

This is the first book I have read by Ashton Blackthorne and I can not wait to read the next book Shattered. Ash has everything a guy could ever want, a high class job, money, known by everyone, and any woman he wants. He loves to be in control of the women he takes home and he treats them well even if they are only for a night. Being a Dominant he knows how to bring out desires many women may not even realize they crave.The scenes are beyond hot and he is very good at mixing a bit of pain with pleasure. But there is only one woman that Ash has come close to loving. He never really healed from being broken as a child. We get to see the depths of his emotions as a boy and why he feels he can never love anyone. There is a cliffhanger ending that will leave you desperate to read Shattered!

If you loved Broken you will definitely love this! Shattered lets us see deeper into Ash's emotions on his journey of learning to love and trust again.

Veronica coming back into his life is a huge part of that. After a night at his club in Vegas he begins to realize the true meaning of his feelings for her. They delve a little bit further into their sexual desires learning more of what they both find beyond pleasurable. Everything seems to be falling into place first with the deal Ash was working on then with the only woman Ash has ever truly cared for. Just when it seems he may get his happy ever after something happens that shatters him to the core yet again.

In this book we get to see things mostly from Veronica's view. I loved seeing how she met Ash and how their relationship developed. The things she confesses to Ash about what she had to endure at a young age will make your heart cry. But there is one thing she didn't tell Ash that completely shatters him. We find out the details of what happened where Shattered left off. After hearing of Veronicas indiscretion he tells her he never wants to see her again. Veronica doesn't give up and tries one last time but to no avail. Ash is left heartbroken and feeling more alone then ever. Veronica's world has crashed down around her. Ash finds himself looking at Amber, his secretary as a distraction. Then she surprises him with a question that leaves him wondering just what her intentions are and if they are anything like his thoughts.

Just like the others this book will leave you wanting so much more and I can not wait to read the next series to find out what happens!

Review for Wolves of the Glen: Wolves at the Door by Skye Jones

Wolves at the Door  by Skye Jones

LOVED!
This was my first read by Skye Jones and I absolutely loved it. It is a short story that I just couldn't put down.
Brooke moved to a little cottage out in the woods for research purposes. While there she hears noises outside her cottage at night and recalls tales that she was told as a child but quickly dismisses them. When she wakes up one night with a stranger in her bedroom who says he is there for her safety she finds it easier than expected to trust him. She quickly realizes what he is but is more turned on then afraid. Only after their night of hot passion does she realize what the words he spoke meant. Thinking she is safe she leaves only to find herself feeling ill and falls prey to one who wants revenge. You must read to find out what happens to Brooke and see if Drew gets his happy ever after with his would be mate. I loved the heat between these two characters and the authors take on what happens when wolves mate with their female. I would love to see just a bit more backstory on the wolves characters but regardless I can't wait to read the next book!

Candy Boys by Jo Raven

I just finsihed this book last night and OMG!


I loved this book from start to finish. It was so much more than I expected and I could not put it down. For me there was the perfect amount of sexual scenes as I like my books to be very hot. I love how guarded Jet is and how Candy seems to be just what was needed to start helping him. And the relationship between Joel and Jet.... I love how they are best buds and you can clearly see how Joel cares for Jet.

Joel was the safest place Jet knows of and the only place he ever feels safe. He has a dark secret he has never told anyone and its the reason behind all his nightmares. He knows his relationship with Joel will never be what he truly desires but he will take the friendship and feeling of safety as long as Joel wants to be there.

Jet doesnt know that Joel is so conflicted with himself over thoughts he often has and we get to see his struggle and how he finally ends up working through it. Candy is the perfect thing to bring them all together and begin to help them both with their issues if the boys would would only open up bit more. However she has a secret shes been keeping from them and she runs out a couple times. When tragedy strikes can they work past all of their issues and finally be one?

This book has everything from angst to humor to off the charts chemistry. So why the four stars? I LOVED this book. I did not care for the ending. Don't get me wrong it was a good scene in the book. However I felt there was some little things that I felt needed a bit more closure for me. The possibilities for more stories with these three are endless and I hope we see more of them. This was the first book by Jo Raven I have ever read and I would definitely recommend reading it!! I will be reading more of her stuff for sure!

“Earth to vet Fairfax.” Ryder waved his hand in front of my face.
I jumped, hugging the dog tighter. “What? What happened?”
He bit his lip, doing his best not to smile. “You space-cadeted on me again.” He chuckled. “You were looking at my mouth. You weren’t thinking of doing bad things to me again, were you? Because if you were…I can totally help with that.”
Yes, please.
It would be so easy to nod and let whatever magic between us ignite. But we were at my work. I was supposed to be a mature, composed female.

My cheeks heated as I dropped my gaze to the Chinese Crested in my arms. “I wasn’t thinking bad things. Not in a bajillion years.”

My tummy clenched. “What are you proposing I do?” I held the squirming dog as she tried to wriggle into my scrubs, looking for warmth. Not that I could blame her—it was fairly chilly in here with the air conditioning.
“You’d do it?” His eyes turned luminous. “For me?”

Way to go, Ves. Don’t sound desperate or anything.

Dangnamit, everything inside me tightened, melted, swapped ownership and put its hands in the air to flay like idiots over how much I liked this guy.

“Christ, I love it when you say my name.” His thumb ran over my bottom lip, pulling it down as he pressed the lightest kiss there. “Vesper, I wouldn’t just ask this of any other woman. I’m asking you because you’re so damn incredible.”
Ask me what?
You want me naked and on all fours?
Got it, give me three seconds.

BOOK REVIEW: Love on the Wind P.C. Zick

The Remingtons: Love on the Wind by P.C. Zick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This author is new to me and I have to say I would definitely read more of their work. Although the story is combined with Melissa Foster's Remington world, the author did a good job making it a story of it's own.
Kiley and Jeff had both come to the beach to finally take a break from their busy lives. Their first run in with one another leaves them with bad impressions but as they are forced to spend time in the same place the chemistry between them can't be denied. Despite the developing emotions it's not all smooth sailing from there. Pasts need to be overcome to see if they can move forward with one another.
This was a great mix of characters you may already know and love and new characters who will keep you interested and wanting to know if they find the love they both deserve or if they get stuck in their pasts.

True Colors p2....FINALLY

It's been a few months but at long last here is the second part to my True Colors Kit from February. If you don't remember just scroll down and you will see the first kit. That kit was dedicated and inspired by two people who are very special to me and without that first bit of inspiration, the first kit never would have been made which means this one would not exist either. So to Matty and Bradley, I hope you know how much you both mean to me!

I am sorry this has taken me so long but I had a lot of  RL issues to deal with that were very hard for me.  This kit is dedicated to those of you who have supported me over the last months.Those of you who only knew tiny tidbits from postings I made to those few who knew everything...anyone who gave me any type of support and encouragement...I know some of  you don't use these creations, but without you all sending your support and talking me through and at times being bluntly honest...I may not have been able to get back in to doing this already if at all.  Also to anyone who knows how hard it can be to get through those very difficult times in life and at times have felt like it will never get better.To all of my friends at GR, KnKS(though I haven't been there in ages it seems), the few friends I email or chat with... HUGE HUGS to each and everyone of you!! Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart for being there and for your continued support and friendships!!!

This kit has both my own creations and creations made with scripts(you can probably tell the difference but the scripted items are in a seperate folder within the original folder).  There are 7 previews here and ONE download link for the whole kit below all the previews. This is a piece of wordart I made, hopefully someone will have a use for it.  The words just came to me when I was having a particularly bad day not so long ago.  The zipfile also includes a grey scaled version so you can colorize and add your own touches to it if you want a different color. The background on the actual file is transparent and not black like it is here.

I know I don't usually say much on my blog but this time I actually have a few things to say.  First I know that I don't get many comments here but I do get hundreds of downloads per kit on my acct so I know there are plenty of you out there who use my stuff.  To those of you who are followers and who download my work, I am sorry it has been so long since I made something. It has been about five and a half months since I last made a kit because I withdrew from PSP for a few different reasons which I am not going to totally go into here.  I will say during this time I buried myself in reading and esp. in my writing, which I have been using as an escape from reality basically.  I have alwasy loved writing and when I withdrew from PSP, I started writing again.  We all have difficult times in our lives and I have been going through just that and I still am.  I had pretty much given up on a lot of things until I stumbled across two very special people. 
This kit is dedicated to Matty and Brad, two very special people who have inspired me more than words can say! The love, courage, and support they have shown is something that I have not seen in a very long time if ever in my life! For me they are the perfect example of what loving and supporting another person is all about through not only the good times but also the hard ones.  So to Matty and Brad, don't ever stop being yourselves or try to change yourselves in any way no matter what anyone may try to tell you in life! You are both perfect just the way you are in every possible way and anyone who has the pleasure of knowing you should consider themselves very lucky!!  If I hadn't have stumbled across the two of you, I never would have gotten the inspriation I needed to create anytime soon. I wish you both all my love from the bottom of my heart!


Now one more thing I shouldn't have to say but knowing how some people are in this world, which sickens me by the way, I have to add that I will not tolerate any type of discriminating or demeaning comments so don't even bother to leave them!


Now on to the kit, you saw the preview, it is a tagger size kit 600x600 pixels and there will be a part two to it so keep an eye out for that in the next few weeks. This kit, as you read above, is very special to me and it was made 100% by me, no scripts, no cu items, just my own creations. Part two however, will use scripts along with my own stuff.
